Banana Cupcakes


1/3 cup shortening
1 tsp vanilla
2/3 cup sugar
1 egg
1 ½ cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
½ tsp soda
½ tsp cinnamon 
½ tsp nutmeg
¼ tsp cloves
¾ cup mashed banana


Cream shortening with vanilla and sugar. Add egg, beat well. Sift in dry ingredients and add banana. Bake at 375° for 20 minutes.
