Caramel Corn


1 cup butter or margarine
2 cups firmly packed brown sugar
½ cup Karo syrup (light or dark)
1 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla


Stir and mix ingredients until dissolved and heat to rolling boil--



Boil 5 minutes then add ½ tsp soda and stir until foamy 



Pour over large pan of popped corn 



and stir until well coated. Bake in 250° oven for 1 hour stirring every 15 minutes.
