Connie Squares


2 cups quick Mother’s Oats
1 cup brown sugar
½ cup melted margarine
¼ tsp salt


Mix in order--place in 8x8 pan and pack tightly.


2 1oz squares unsweetened chocolate (melted)
¼ cup melted oleo
1 cup brown sugar
1 egg
½ cup flour
¼ tsp salt
¾ tsp vanilla


Mix in order--place on top of above mixture. Bake 25 minutes in 350° oven. When cool, frost with chocolate frosting.
